This herbal formula is designed to help spread the liver qi and harmonize the middle Jiao, nourish the blood. The herbal formula will help with symptoms such as:

Description of herbal formula according to Chinese Medicine:

Chai hu:

(Radix Bupleuri) Unblocks liver qi stagnation and spread liver qi that may manifest with such symptom such as emotional distress, irritability, headaches, menstrual pain and fullness and distention of the chest and hypochondrium.

Bai shao:

(Radix Paeoniae Alba) Enters the liver and disperses stagnant qi. Nourishes the liver to calm liver yang and liver wind. Because the liver governs the sinews Bai shao is often used for pain in the muscles, tendons and sinews caused by lack of nourishment.

Dang gui:

(Radicis Angelicae Sinensis) Nourishes and tonifies the blood and soften the liver. Invigorates blood circulation and relieves pain.

Bai zhu:

(Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae) Strengthens the Spleen and the Stomach to prevent the overacting of the liver on the Spleen and the Stomach.

Bo he:

(Herba Menthae) Bo he enters the liver channel to smooth and relieve liver Qi stagnation.

Fu ling:

(Poria) Calms the shen (Spirit) and strengthens the stomach and spleen to prevent the overacting of the liver.

Mu dan pi:

(Cortex Moutan) Treats liver yang rising or liver fire for symptoms such as irritability, anxiety, redness of the face and eyes and short temper.

Sheng jiang:

(Rhizoma Zingiberis Recins) The fragrant and acrid properties of Sheng Jiang helps disperse liver qi stagnation and relieves a nervous stomach.

Zhi gan cao:

(Radix Glycyrrhizae Preparata) Harmonizes the other herbs and prolongs the overall tonic effect of the formula.

Huang qin:

(Radix Scutellariae) Clears heat to relieve irritability and has a calming effect.

Suan zao ren:

(Semen Zizyphi Spinosae) Nourishes the heart and calms the spirit due to liver yin deficiency.

Recommended to drink 2-4 cups daily as needed.
