HERBAL FORMULA FOR CHRONIC CONSTIPATION
This herbal formula is for chronic constipation with deficiency or excess with symptoms such as:

Description of formula according to traditional herbal medicine:
Cortex Magnoliae Officinalis: Treats food stagnation. This causes poor digestion, abdominal pain and constipation.
Semen Platyeladi: Moistens the intestines and unblocks the bowels. Constipation or dry stools in the elderly, anemic or postpartum patients.
Peppermint: Helps to relax a upset stomach while moving stool through the intestines.
Fructus Aurantii: Relieve abdominal distention and pressure. is mild, and is most helpful for patients who are weak or deficient.
Radix Pseudostellariae: Promotes generation of body fluids and is a mild tonic especially useful in cases where patients are so deficient that they cannot fully benefit from strong tonics. Clinical applications include fatigue, lack of energy, dry mouth, no appetite.
Dandelion: Can help relieve mild constipation and sooth the stomach.
Radix et Rhixoma Rhei: Treats constipation and moves the stool, works by moving the stool downward for easy elimination. Also used for epigastric distention, fullness and abdominal pain that worsens with pressure and palpation.
Fructus Mori: Lubricates the intestines. Constipation caused by dryness. Lack of nourishment to the bowels leads to dry stools or constipation. lubricate the large intestine and promote bowel movement.
Licorice root: Soothe the digestive system and encourage a bowel movement, has an anti-inflammatory effect.
Radix Ophioposonis: Intestinal dryness is a major cause of constipation, lubricates the intestines and promotes bowel movement.
Semen Cassiae: Moistens the bowels, clears heat to treat dry stools and acute or chronic constipation arising from heat or dryness.

Green Tea: A very small amount of green tea is added to help blend the formula.
Dosage: Take one tea bag and place it in hot water, let steep for 10 min. Add 1 teaspoon of honey. Drink one cup in the morning and 1 cup before bed.
