HERBAL FORMULA FOR HEMORRHOID
The term hemorrhoids refers to a condition in which the veins around the anus or lower rectum are swollen and inflamed.
Hemorrhoids may result from straining to move stool. Other contributing factors include pregnancy, aging, chronic constipation or diarrhea. Hemorrhoids are either inside the anus—internal—or under the skin around the anus—external.
Spleen Qi deficiency, heat toxins and damp heat are some of the reasons according to herbal medicine that hemorrhoid occur. This herbal formula will address these issues to help correct the problem.
Description of herbal formula according to traditional herbal medicine:
Herba Lysimachiae: Clears damp heat and eliminates toxins. Used for hemorrhoids most patients responded in 1-3 days.
Flos Sophorae: Cools blood and stops bleeding for bleeding hemorrhoids.
Radix Sophorae Flavescentis: Clears heat. Used for hemorrhoid pain.
Cacumen Platycladi: Cools blood and stops bleeding and inflammation of hemorrhoids.
Nodus Nelumbinis Rhizomatis: Restrains leakage, stops bleeding and disperses blood stasis. It has dual actions to both move the blood and stop bleeding.
Caulis Sargentodixae: Clears heat, eliminates toxins, activates blood circulation and relieves pain.
Radix Linderae: Regulates Qi and relieves pain in the lower Jiao. Helps with the expulsion of gas, and relaxation to relieve spasms and cramps.
Radix Sanguisorbae: Toxic heat accumulation in the large intestine causes bleeding that appears either in the accompanying stool, or preceding the evacuation of stools. Bleeding hemorrhoids or bleeding preceding the evacuation of stools with bright red blood is because of heat in the blood or damp heat in the lower Jiao. This herb cools blood and stops bleeding and relieves pain.
Semen Coicis: Strengthens the spleen to help with the prolapsed of the anus.
Semen Platyeladi: Moistens the intestines and unlocks the bowels. Constipation or dry stools in the elderly, anemic or postpartum patients.
Galla Chinensis: Has an astringent effect to reduce inflammation of swollen hemorrhoid tissues.
Radicis Angelicae Sinensis: Tonifies blood and replenishes blood lost through rectal bleeding. It also moves blood to treat the blood clots around the anus that are associated wit hemorrhoid conditions.
Radix Scutellariae: Stops bleeding and cools blood caused by heat driving blood out of the vessels.
Herba Agrimoniae: Stops bleeding by having a restraining function, relieves diarrhea that maybe accompanied with bleeding and mucus.
Recommended to drink 2-4 cups daily
