HERBAL FORMULA FOR HAND AND FOOT NUMBNESS

Description of herbal formula according to traditional herbal medicine:
Radicis Angelicae Sinensis: Besides tonifying blood and invigorating circulation, Dang Gui stops pain and disperses coldness by dispersing stagnation and promoting nourishment in the channels and tendons. This herb treats numbness and pain in the limbs and extremities.
Radix Astragali: Numbness of the muscles is due to insufficient nourishment and circulation of qi and blood. Huang qi has a strong effect to tonify qi which helps to generate blood and increase blood flow to the extremities. It tonifies and promotes normal circulation to relieve skin and muscle numbness and pain.
Rhizoma Ligustiei Chuanxiong: Activates blood circulation and is one of the best herbs to treat numbness because of its ascending, descending and dispersing functions to reach every part of the body.
Rhizoma Homalomenae: Dispels wind and dampness, strengthens tendons and bones. It treats both acute and chronic numbness and is most suitable for elderly patients with weakness.
Percarpium Citri Reticulatae: is used in this formula to direct the herbs into the extremities and has a mild anti-inflammatory action.
Flos Carthami: Opens channels, eliminates blood stasis and invigorates the circulation of blood in the extremities to relieve numbness and pain.
Radix Paeoniae Alba: Nourishes blood to treat numbness, spasms and pain in the limbs.
Radix Glycyrrhizae: The Spleen dominates muscles and the liver controls tendons. Therefore patients with spleen deficiency and liver excess often experience muscle cramps, pain and numbness. This herb is excellent to relieve these by tonifying the spleen.
Cortex Moutan: Moves blood and clears heat associated with local inflammation due to blood stagnation.
Fructus Liquidambaris: Opens the channels and collaterals to relieve pain by invigoration blood circulation to the extremities.
Radix er Rhizoma Rhei: Clears heat, removes blood stasis and helps with blood circulation.
Feverfew: Its been suggested that it reduces the release of an inflammatory substance from your blood cells and slows down the production of a chemical transmitter in your body called histamine.
Passionflower: Is promoted as a dietary supplement for anxiety and sleep problems as well as for pain.
Scullcap: Nervous tension and inflammation.
Holy basil: It is a tonic for the body, decreasing stress.
White willow bark: This is an all natural anti inflammatory herb that does not upset the stomach.
Green tea: We use a very small amount of organic green tea to blend our herbal formula.
Recommended to drink 2-4 cups daily.
